Ellijay 2010

For Thanksgiving this year my mom decided she wanted to go to the mountains, and she wanted all of us to come. This included me, derek, and our 2 kids, my stepbrother David, his wife Ashley, and their 2 boys (age 3 and 1) and my stepsister Betsy...needless to say it was a full house! We were missing my other stepbrother and his wife and 3 boys. So if we go back next year i am requesting 2 houses:)
It really was a great trip. Beckett and Samuel had a blast together. Derek and I also took our little fam of 4 to do some hiking at the Ocoee River State Park. Derek and I have both rafted the Ocoee, but it has been years ago for me, so i was excited to visit again. It really is such a beautiful area. I have a feeling this will not be the first "hiking" adventure we take as a family:)
Our cabin was in Ellijay, GA. They have a small town square and a few shops. It is a very quaint little area-i felt like I was in the movie Funny Farm most of the time! About a 20min drive from there is Blue Ridge, GA which is much bigger with more shops and resturants. There we took the kids on the train ride through the mountains with Santa. They of course loved it!
Lilla did fantastic on the whole trip. I was so very relieved. She spent most of the days in the Moby Wrap, so she was content. The car ride was close to 10 hours including all the stops, so it was asking a lot and they both did great!! Thanks in no small part to whoever invented portable DVD players!

Lilla at 4 months

Stats:
4 month check up on 11/11/10
Weight: 15lbs
Height: 24.5 inches
Head: 40.5 cm

At this point she is still the sweet, easy baby we are falling more in love with each day. She is such a serious baby! She is a great little sleeper, sleeping about 7-9 hours. She is nursing about every 4 hours and then sleeping through the night from about 9-5am then eating some more and back too sleep til about 8ish...One thing i know for sure...my babies both inherited my sleep habits:)

Chunky Monkey:) This pic cracks me up.....so serious!
