6 Months

It is hard to believe Beckett is already six months old! In honor of his 1/2 birthday i thought i would try to come up with 6 fun facts about him.
1. He loves paper-especially post-it notes. He totally gets that from me. I am obsessed with them!
2. He loves to watch our dog Koda. If Koda comes in the room he immediately becomes fixated on her.
3. He can sit up pretty good on his own, but is not a big fan of rolling from his back to his stomach.
4. He still hates a bottle-we are working on that! And he is never taken a pacifier. This in turns leads to me pretty much having to be with him around the clock. Don't get me wrong-i love him to peices, but a night off sounds glorious these days!
5. He recently started to love taking baths. He just kicks and splashes the whole time!
6. He thinks everyone is his personal johnny jump up. If you let him stand in your lap he automatically starts bouncing.
And one to grow on....
7. His favorite time of the day is when derek comes home from work. He lights up as soon as derek comes in the room!

Causey's Big Day!

Here are a few pictures from Causey's big day! I can't believe she is already a year old-time flies! It seems like just yesterday her mom was sitting at home thinking she might be pregnant forever!

Baptism

We had Beckett's baptism back in early Feb. He was great through the whole thing-mainly because he was asleep! I was so nervous that he would wake up when we handed him to the preacher and totally wig out, but thankfully he didn't! We had a family lunch at our house afterwards-hence the cake.

Beckett is sleeping in his car seat following our exciting trip to Target so i thought i would share a few recent pics. He is 5 months old! Time flies!!!

holy cow!

I made a banner!!! Those of you who know me well know I have been avoiding this blog thing bc i wanted a cute header at the top....well my mom gave me Photoshop for Christmas and I finally managed to make something with it. I know you can't really see the title, but for my first time I think it looks great! Now i can feel like a "real" blogger:) I still have lots to learn regarding Photoshop, but the more i play around with it the more i remember-i used it some in college like 4 years ago and my new version is light years better than the one i learned on.
What makes this banner super impressive is i did it all while holding a sleeping 4 month old:)

A bit about Derek

I saw this on someone's blog and I thought it would be fun to talk about derek for a bit....
1. Who is your man? Derek
2. How long have you been together? August 27, 2005
3. How long did you date? About 5 ½ years…we started “dating” in June 99.
4. How old is your man? 27.
5. Who eats more? It is probably about the same. I am “burning” extra calories these days
6. Who said "I love you" first? Derek-in Jackson Hole while we were walking around the neighborhood. I mainly remember it was freezing outside
7. Who is taller? Derek by at least a whole foot!!!.
8. Who sings better? Neither one of us is good, but we both tend to sing a lot anyway-poor Beckett!
9. Who is smarter? Derek is smarter in the math/science category, but I am much smarter than him when it comes to English. I am derek’s personal spell checker.
10. Whose temper is worse? We are both pretty even tempered but pregnancy does a number on your hormones, so Derek would say I have the worst temper
11. Who does the laundry? It's a joint effort, but Derek does what I call “selective laundering” he only washes his clothes from the hamper and ignores mine.
12. Who takes out the garbage? Derek
13. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Me.
14. Who pays the bills? I am learning!
15. Who is better with the computer? Derek is better with the Ipod stuff and I am better at everything else.
16. Who mows the lawn? Derek, I don’t think I am allowed to touch the mower
17. Who cooks dinner? I usually do the cooking and Derek does the grilling
18. Who drives when you are together? I used to drive all the time, now he insist on driving everywhere we go
19. Who pays when you go out? Usually him
20. Who is most stubborn? Derek…he is not very “flexible” He can sometimes suffer from “my way or the highway” syndrome.
21. Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? I would say I am, bc usually I am so totally wrong about something that it is funny
22. Whose parents do you see the most? Mine
23. Who kissed who first? Derek kissed me in my car and dave matthews was playing on the CD player
24. Who asked who out? I really don’t remember. I am sure he asked me out but I don’t think I remember where we went. It was like 9 years ago….
25. Who proposed? Derek, on his boat at the reservoir during sunset
26. Who is more sensitive? Me
27. Who has more friends? We both have about the same about I think. We do have lots of mutual friends. I have known some of Derek’s close friends longer than he has. I would say I have stronger friendships with my high school friends though, but that is a girl thing I am sure….
28. Who has more siblings? Well, that depends…Derek has 2 brothers. I am my mom’s only child, but I do have 1 half brother, 3 step brothers and 1 step sister
