The Beach!!

We just got back from a trip to my family's condo in Perdido. Beckett and I have been gone for a week! I feel like it has been forever. I have had a hard time getting back into the swing of things today. Beckett and i met my mom and stepdad there on Sunday and Derek joined us on Wed. along with the Bell's and the Tom's. We had a great time and beckett did pretty good on the beach. I didn't really bring him out until later in the day though bc it was so hot. And he did MUCH better on the car rides there and back than i expected:)

Finally an Update!

Sorry for the lack of posting. I feel like we have been so busy lately. Beckett will be 9 months this week so i will do a post all about him after our doctor appointment this week. In the meantime here are some pictures of my little brother Carson's high school graduation. Carson is my half brother who is about 10 years younger than me. It so hard to believe he is so grown up-we are all super proud of him!

I know everyone thinks that Beckett is my clone and i can't disagree, but I have always been able to see my dad and my brother Carson in him especially when he was born. My first thought when they showed me Beckett was "he looks just like Carson and my dad" As he has gotten older i see more of my dad in him when he makes certain expressions, but Carson got the look a like award at the hospital!

Crashing on the Sofa

I came home from running an errand over the weekend and found derek on the sofa watching Indiana Jones and Beckett sound asleep next to him in this funny position. He slept just like this for a long time!

Mother's Day Weekend

Hope everyone had a great Mother's Day weekend. We stayed busy! Saturday night we went to a birthday party for my cousin's daughter Alayna Parker and got to visit with my dad's side of the family. After church we met my mom and gene for lunch at Annandale and then had the Strong's over Sunday night. Regardless of the hectic schedule I had a great first mother's day! These are some pictures of Beckett on the rocking chairs at the clubhouse. Oh, and he is officially crawling. He does this weird thing with his leg-he pushes off using one leg, but he manages to get where he wants to go!

Beckett Says.....

CONGRATS MELINDA AND DANIEL!!!!!!!

One of my very good friends from Ole Miss got engaged over the weekend and we are so excited for them. Daniel took the romance factor to a whole new level by hiring a photographer to hide in the trees and photograph the whole proposal. The pictures are the greatest and totally priceless-go Dan!!

Getting ready to take off....



Beckett is 8 months already!! Time flies. He has had a running nose for awhile now that won't go away. The doctors seem to think it is allergies, and considering Derek has them so bad i think i agree with them. He started crawling yesterday. He is not full force yet, but it won't be long. He keeps one knee under him and pushes off with the other leg! It is pretty funny to watch. He also pulled up on a piece of furniture for the first time. He has been standing up in his bed for a while, but yesterday was the first time he used the coffee table. I guess that means no more magazines on the table. He is also learning to "patty cake" and he thinks it is hilarious!
